The “visual” tab is where you would be typing most of the time. It allows you to write normally. The “text” tab is for writing html. If you know how to code html, you may use the “text” tab. Otherwise, just use the “visual” tab.
  5. Above the editor box, you will see a “Add Media” button. You can click on it to add images or videos to your page.
  6. Otherwise, just use the “visual” tab.
  5. Above the editor box, you will see a “Add Media” button. You can click on it to add images or videos to your page.

There are certain advantages and disadvantages to both static pages and blog posts. Actually they both serve a different purpose each. Use static pages to show information and functions that will not need regular update. For example, you can use static pages for creating an online store, to create an about page where you show your personal or company information, to create a contacts page, etc.

You may use blog posts to create information, tips, etc that will be updated regularly. For example, to provide regular news, to post your hobby ideas and activities, etc.

So now you have created your first blog post and a static page. Congratulations!!! You have learnt how to post on wordpress.

Keep publishing useful and entertaining posts and pages and you will be on your way to success!

Good Luck!
